They're disenchanted democrats and republicans who are feed up with the extremes of their respective parties -- the looney liberals and the howling religious rightous. Count me squarely in that group. I have been able to support Republicans in the past because their fiscal policies and strong defense overode my concerns about the religious right. They've lost their direction on spending, and cultural issues have taken a more prominent role....and if that continues to be the case, I think they will have a real problem in the next two elections.
