I guess you never heard of MAD. (Mutual Assured Destruction) the world lived under that through the entire cold war era and nothing has changed except now its AMERICA promises assured destruction if a country launches. jdn

Your construct renders the concept of mutually assured destruction inoperative. The fear of being turned into dust is what prevented the Soviets from striking us or our allies during the Cold War (recall the Cuban Missle crisis?).

Problem with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and others like him is they appear to have a religious motivation to bring on Armageddon.
