I'll stick my neck further out. If memory serves me, the purchase index hit 526 or 528 a couple of times in the winter of 04-05 and spring of 05 and fell back each time.

Think this is consistent with the 15-25% yoy purchase numbers being reported almost everywhere. However, the bulk of this drop has really only occurred in the last two months, so may not show up much in this month's sales data, given the 60-90 day lag to closing.
