I did say "statement LIKE ...". I should have specified that I wasn't quoting you directly. Your actual line "defending radical Islam" is even more of an inflammatory statement, and I don't think it's supported by the facts. Do you not distinguish between Islam in general and radical Islam?

I do agree, as I have said, that the U.S. has screwed up in dealing with the Islamic world under both Democratic and Republican administrations. The current administration is continuing to make mistakes, though they're different mistakes. The Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld brand of swaggering confrontation isn't working, and won't work. I agree with those who say that this adminstration has made us less safe, not more so.
