I saw that. Very rare to have riots of that sort here. You can bet the company owners or the employees are going to end up in big big doo doo.

Here's the local version....

gulfnews.com

Reading some of the article you posted shows the different biases of the writers....

The violence....illustrated the growing unrest among foreign workers

"Growing" unrest? Many of the workers I know here are constantly going out of there way to get their friends and family members here.

Hmmm, on reading the rest I guess its pretty accurate.

But workers complain their employers often withhold pay. They enjoy few legal protections and no minimum wage, work in the extreme heat, and many of them live in military-style desert camps.

That's spot on!

Read the local version linked above, the worker's complaints are 100% legitimate. Witholding wages, overtime without pay, etc. etc. are extremely common. What's a worker to do?

This morning I read that yesterday, Latinos protested the newly proposed immigration law. I am not surprised that they protested in spite of the fact that they are illegal in this country, but I was amazed that they carried the Mexican flag in their protests. What an insult to this country......not only do they think they do not have to obey the laws of this counry but they are making clear to whom their allegiance is.

And then I read that Kyle of AZ was apologetic towards the protesters saying his law was not as restrictive as the other law proposed. Another politician with backbone! What a mess!
