But then they would be labeled "unpatriotic" by the right. I guess it's more patriotic to invade and occupy a country into chaos than it is to fix Social Security.

(I agree, where the hell are the Democrats???).

The Dems ALSO support the war, and have signed off on all the spending. We are without representation from either party.

If one were thinking in terms of promoting democracy in the Middle East, he said, the money being spent on the war would have been enough to finance a "mega-mega-mega-Marshall Plan," which would have been "so much more" effective than the invasion of Iraq.

This is what I wanted all along. What a pity.
