Why compete when you are tenured? Why compete if the school administration is also tenured? In the suburban district i live in, some administrators were jailed for corruption. Why work hard when you dont have to? Good teachers end up unknowingly buying into the most subtle forms of racism. Arabs can never have democracy and black kids just cant learn. And if someone comes along and shows them kids can learn, they feel threatened because they cant teach because of the school they are in or their skills have atrophied. Then the liberal come up with slogans against religion in schools to justify their own failure. Make it a constitutional issue and it will go away. So choice is good if we want to kill a fetus but not good if we want a child to learn.
