An Indian with a PhD and a work ethic is going to make more money than your kids if your kids have a poor education -- of that you can be sure. An Indian with an entrepreneurial spirit and a global outlook is going to make more money than your kid if he or she is mainly concerned with loading music onto their ipod -- of that you can be sure. The idea that being an American is some sort of global entitlement program is caput. There are plenty of opportunities to earn a living in this world -- but it will have to be earned. Your kids need to know that. For most of us, there is only the fear of the transition and the hope that we can escape from the consequences if we ourselves are on the losing side of these changes.
