If Iraqi Kurds run a good country for a decade or so, it might take care of itself.

Perhaps we could tell Mullahs in Iran, "Look, we know we can't invade and occupy you, Iraq has taught us that. But we could take a considerable chunk of Iran and let the Kurds have it. They will happily occupy the Kurdish regions. So please break up those wicked machines, the centrifuges, which tempt naughty men like you to make atom bombs."

If I were Bush, I'd stop the anti-Mullah rhetoric, and instead have the department of misinformation print real estate brochures of Kurdish Iran, and hand them out freely in Kurdish Iraq. Let the Mullahs chew on that.
