Wayne, Try Omaha. It is much more exciting than Hold Em.

I don't like the idea of multiple tables. I think players ought to concentrate on the actions of their opponents and you just can't do that with multiple tables. It also greatly slows down the game.

Phil Helmuth will take over as co-host of Celebrity Poker. I hate the guy, but really want to see this. Will he dare to be as nasty to the celebs as he is to regular players? Or will he wimp out and become a Hollywood wannabe?http://www.pokernews.com/news/2006/3/hellmuth-host-celebrity-poker.htm

Celebrity Poker is fun because I could beat most of the players. The only thing that bugs me is that half the time I flip on the program and have no idea who the celebrities are. Then, when they mention what television show they're on, I've never heard of that, either.

I have learned a lot about the game from hearing Phil Gordon criticize and praise the play of the celebrities. Gordon is a great teacher. Helmuth is a great player, but his books and DVDs stink the house out. I doubt he can spread the same kind of wisdom that Gordon did, even though he is certainly more accomplished than Gordon. As Helmuth himself once said, in his usually modest way, "9 World Series championships vs. none. Yeah, I should be favored against him." <VBG>
