I can only assume that McVeigh was acting on strong believes of his own. He was an anti-government nut, which is a form of religion in the USA. My point is mainly that strong, literal, religious belief tends to lead to unhealthy behavior. In some cases, like the Quakers, it does not cause problems for their neighbors. But the Quakers still read the O.T. selectively as near as I can tell.

All religions need to evolve, or they end up in trouble I think. Islam does not like evolution. Hence the problems.
