So antibodies mutate rapidly - I've not looked into how the immune system works. I can see that rapid mutation process called an evolutionary or evolution-like process. Though it isn't the evolution everyone talks about.

ID wants to attack the practice of science. That I care about.

I don't see any seriouis danger to science in people believing that God intervened in the process. Most people who accept the framework of evolution already think that.

But why do you make comments saying the evidence for evolution is not compelling in that case?

I am referring to evolution as the opinion that nothing but "chance and necessity" have produced us. I even have no problem with considering humans as the "third chimpanzee" as one anthropologist called us.

But why aren't we squatting naked over a termite mound right now?

There are numerous important things about us that are very different from chipanzees. It is said that if you chained a million chimps to a million typewriters maybe one would knock off a shakespearean play. Well, it wouldn't happen if there were a billion of them. Yet the chimpanzee named William Shakespeare wrote a bunch of Shakespearean plays. And other chimps have figured out how to split the atom and found out the universe had a beginning. How can chimps be doing these kind of things? Why are chimps doing science at all? There's no evolutionary answer to these kind of questions imo.
