L'Alcatel << Consolidation: Alcatel, Lucent in $34 bln merger talks >> Whoopee! I bought a batch of shares in that LU dog on the strength of its share in CDMA infra and pending DO upgrades at almost precisely its (at that time) 52-week low of $2.36 almost one year ago (04/18/2005). I held through a high of $3.49 but not too long ago after they updated Q1 guidance I placed a GTC limit sell at $3.10 on the whole position and it hit this morning at 9:31 am on the possible Alcatel move. I'm sure it could move higher but I'm delighted to be out with a 31% profit. Best, - Eric -
