I thought the whole ROFL thing was kind of rude, since we disagreed. So I edited, because I thought it was rude. I wasn't going to mention the editing, but then I thought you might feel I had insulted you, and edited THAT out, and I didn't want you to feel I had done that. I consider the source too, but on the other hand, one doesn't want to be rude even to people who consider one a source to be considered

uh huh.

If you want to take pot shots, take responsibility for them.
You can "ROFL" as much as you like. Comments like the above make me want to do the same thing<g>

As for the CA schools, there is no easy answer. I fear we are stuck with mediocrity among the teacher ranks. The immigrant and non-English speaking issues are a huge factor.I do know that special needs can be a drain, particularly in light of all the procedural requirements and the access to litigation to control a special needs child's curriculum. I do not know the percentage of funds diverted to special needs programs, however.

Where you and I differ is in the fundamental notion that throwing money at a problem will solve it. This conversation began with your references to Prop 13.

I think that the problems of the educational system are systemic and require far more than cash infusions to solve.
