re: This is a real tough question that cannot be answered by simply assuming that religion is a "private matter." I mean, how are you NOT supposed to promote it to others without compromising your beliefs? Seems like a very fine line there.

I have nothing against evangelicals promoting their religion to others... but when they start to meddle in politics and law, and impose their morals on their neighbors, then they cross the line. It's a slippery slope to Sharia Law.

None of the above...you simply live within the tenets of your belief and religion allowing other the same freedom.
