I agree up to a point, a limited point. You have to have a specific issue and say here is how this specific issue needs addressing; if it's more money fine, if it's a procedural change rather than money, fine. "Throwing money at a problem" is one of those pejorative terms that derails good debate. The irony is that the right has learned that "throwing more money" at security problems with bigger bureaucracies is just as ineffective is they thought it was on other issues. And the left is seeing the consequences of a policy they took for granted up close and personal. Will we all learn something from that? Who knows.
