I did not try to buy GED.L. I did buy ELN in London (in Euros). IB says that a section of LSE (AIM) is not yet available but will be soon; GED is on AIM.

<<How do they manage the currency differences?>>

IB shows activity, interest, fees and balances in "Base Currency" (USD for me) plus CAD and Euros (if you have trades in those currencies). Thus the daily statement is long if you have active trades in Toronto, London, Frankfurt, etc.

A simple mouse click lets you move funds from CAD to USD, USD to Euros, etc. (but there is a small fee).
