It is a world wide(just like RE bubble is global) phenomenon I just saw on the science channel that when the warm gulfstream waters stop coming to the UK and western europe they are going to ice over like alaska - that it will happen within 20 years - how much will all that real estate be worth then? Here is a blog going into more detail on the science of it. chiliasmchronicles.blogspot.com I see lots of western europeans retiring here in Fla - maybe we need to buy up more of this warm real estate? hehe
