I'd ask them to make me a sandwich and hope that the kids can stay.

You and I are looking at different parts of what is required.

When you design a system, you design it going forward. That's what I'm addressing. If my system were already in place, your questions would be moot. We have to design a way of stopping illegal immigration going forward or there's no point in doing anything.

Then, after you design the system, you look at the transition issues and deal with them. That's the part you're looking at--what to do with the illegals who are here now who have American kids. That's another matter, a secondary consideration, a one-time transitional transaction independent of the system.

You have to deal with first things first--find a system that can work and then work out the transition. It's not helpful to intertwine system and transition.

Democracies and legislatures aren't good at designing systems. It's an art that takes methodology and skill.

Quite a Conundrum you present.

I have no answers and few opinions other than it will be hurtful to the Christmas tree industry in NC.. It will eliminate all the gardeners who work for the big corporations on lawns here in Florida. The Fl. housing industry will probably collapse as all the home builders employ Mexican labor and roofers as my roof was just replaced by an all none English speaking group of hard working men..

The bus boys and dish washers in all the restaurants will be gone.

The harvesters of the sugar can in the fields, the migrants who pick the tomatoes.. AND the very worst... the Barn which is open four days a week to sell produce will lose all of those who bring in trucks full of a myriad of wonderful produce. Cactus leaves and fruits I never see in the Super Markets..And it's been good for me to speak some Spanish I learned in high school. Quanta Costa ?

Give me some answers ...
