I did not serve in combat, but John Kerry and John Murtha sure did, and they along with millions of others with more military experience than Bush-Cheney want this quagmire war to end. I also did not start a war based on false premeses, trumped-up fear-mongering, poor-planning, divisive politics and immense pork barrel green. In fact my position at the time was that while Saddam was a potential threat (#7 on my list then) he was a paper tiger in a cage who could be dealt with more patiently. Of course I did not yet know Bushies were outright lying about WMD, but I suspected as much, especially when I heard Condi Rice lie to the Europeans about Saddam being able to fire WMD missiles at Euro capitols. I knew Saddam had no such long-range missiles.
