I wonder what odds you could have gotten with GMU to make the Final Four.........................

GMU puts the Colonial Athletic Conference on the map

It was very hard for anyone not in Connecticut to root for the Huskies this post-season. The team had no personality... not even a defining player you could count on to carry the team. They gave you the impression, like the recent Yankees teams, they could just turn it on when they needed it. And then didn't. Heck, even Albany State gave UConn a run for their money.

GMU is one of those teams I like to pick every year that if they survive the first round can catch lightning in a bottle playing in a "home" arena. Had I actually gotten my picks in on time, no, I wouldn't have picked them, but, in retrospect, their victory can't be a total surprise, nor even close to the greatest upset ever, IMO. It's not like UConn was blowing everyone away to get to the Elite 8.

For better or worse, I only got to watch the last 10 seconds of the second overtime live. I'm sort of happy Florida is beating 'Nova as if there were one team that might have waken up UConn it would have been them. LSU has to be seen as the favorite now.
