Re: "No credible evidence has ever been found Saddam had anything to do with anyone in Al Qaida."

We know Saddam sought a relationship with Al qaeda, approved a meeting with OSAMA HIMSELF (not just anyone, ahem), and did Osama's bidding after that meeting. We know much more too that is indicative of an Al Qaeda relationship with Iraq, much of which has been noted on this thread by myself and no doubt others. We are lucky to know this much, given the quantities of documents KAY informed us were burned, and the harddrives destroyed. I'm sure you would be very surprised if you could find out that those lost documents detailed Saddam's support for terrorism including Al Qaeda, and his bad plans against the US and it's allies. I honestly think most folks wouldn't be surprised at all. Hey, call me crazy.

You can squak all you want about conditions in Iraq. You can ignore all you want the good work we attempt to do in Iraq and the Iraqis who recognize and wildly appreciate it (they tend to get hit by terrorists, sadly). You can promote solutions which sound just like GWB as you like. But you can't change the fact that a BIG war started on 911, and Iraq was a smart place to begin to settle the fight.
