Rome's problems had little to do with reps/person

problems in Roman Empire were:
power grab by dictator, undermining Senate (same here)
constant war (same here)
undermine money with reduced gold per coin (no gold here)
growth in sexual perversion & acceptance (same here)
fear of leader without challenge (same here)
imperial over-stretch into too many lands (same here)
murder & mayhem with foreign leaders (same here)

just talking off the cuff here
I am in no way a historian, so dont slam me
just citing some obvious items in comparison
