And don't forget your employer matched what was withheld from your check. 15% of your earnings going to a 401K with even below average returns and you wouldn't spend the interest when you retired. Truly sad that nobody seems to understands what a ripoff this system is.

We have been discussing SS for too long.

Message 20866248

In a few years the curve inverts and addressing the problem will gain interest. For a few more years, receipts exceed payouts, this give the Washington spendthrifts incentive to not "solve" the problem until SS becomes cash flow negative.

SS is one more thing the administration is right about.

I wrote the senators from here about medicare and SS. I told them when they started to have a good hefty co-pay it would work for all people. You have to have a barrier to entry.

Every time I have a snotty nose I don't have to run up to the doctor so I can get a day or two off. You need to be so busy that you can't face the backup in work if you leave.

In fact everyone needs to support their family with a single chair barbershop to see what responsibility is like.

Hell, my brother-in-law is a triple dipper and gets so many free drugs he gives some away. Some are 4$ a pill if I walk into the drug store.

I'm on SS and it is my money and I won't get it all.
