markrhead, thanks, I will have to pass on Tara Gold (TRGD) for now since they are not current with their SEC filings. I see that the latest period for which they have filed any info is quarter ended 9/30/04. Although Paramount is also on the Pink Sheets they have filed a recent registration statement, which has been accepted by the SEC, and have since kept with their quarterlies, the most recent being the quarter ended 12/31/05.

The biggest reason I need to see current financial filings isn't for the actual financial info itself (which for these exploration stage companies is pretty meaningless of course), but rather to confirm what the share structure is. For example, how do you know that sometime between 9/30/04 and the present, TRGD didn't issue, say, 100,000,000 shares at $.10 plus another 100,000,000 warrants exercisable at $.10?

I've bought a fairly large position in Paramount, mostly relying on the recommendation of Ron Struthers, who writes a newsletter. Would be interested to hear what others think of this guy. I have gotten his newsletter off & on over the years, mostly because he also covers some energy stocks, but recently have been paying attention to his other resource picks.
