I wonder where they got those numbers? About 10-12 years ago, I found the following: LEGAL Immigrants to the US every year... about 500,000 - all from various countries Estimated ILLEGAL Immigrants to the US every year....about 4 times that amount... so about 2,000,000 - from various countries REFUGEES: NO way (the staff of 2 US Senators and one USHouse member I called from this State said) Refugee status is signed by Executive Order from the President, and different organizations keep those notes.....The offices I called all estimated about 8 times the amount of LEGAL Immigrants EACH YEAR came in on a Refugee Status... So that would mean about 4,000,000 Add those numbers up and pretty soon, we're talking about real big numbers. And that was about the time that Clinton/Gore were wanting to, and DID, bring in over 2,000,000 people during each of the Two Federal Elections for President... IN ADDITION to all the others I just mentioned... So I'd be interested in seeing where the numbers came from on Opinion Journal....
