Yes it indicates a bias, at least he is being clear and upfront about his. You are biased also, just in a different direction.

You can consider the bias when you hear or read someones arguments, but considering the bias doesn't equate to giving someone very little credibility. Your earlier question "How much credibility do you think someone should be given when they sign off Captain Capitalism?", implies that any statement or argument he makes can be cavalierly dismissed just because of his alias.
