I don't get all this compatibility brouhaha. Isn't msft like every other company- they should be compatible with the PRIOR TWO releases. These prior 2 were compatible with their prior 2 so its sort of a self correcting process. Longhorn needed compatibility with XP and Win2000. Whats the problem, I don't get it. If somebody at the top was telling Allchin he needed to go back to win95 or something, then it is the operations dept that is in error, and they are to blame, not Allchin.
