"we have gotten bogged down in a number of egocentric power pushes and pulls that all contribute to a downward spiral of societal decomposition."

You can say that again.

There may be better systems of government than democracy. No one has demonstrated a stable better system yet. Thus the spread of democracy is the best use of our differential resources.

It has been repeatedly shown that economic prosperity follows political freedom. When we are helping tyrannized people to realize freedom we are creating the most good on earth. That is what we were put on this earth to do.

Some people are greedy, and they espouse beliefs such as their right to dictate what the production of others should be used for. This is the opposite of greater freedom. People are happier when they have greater freedom. People are more productive when they have greater freedom.

Some people do not support using our resources to help others improve and build greater freedom. These people are not representative of the tolerant Christian people in this country.
