Bush government is for the selfish rich by the selfish rich. And not just the rich, but those forms of richness which are worst for Americans, our world and our environment. Those who get rich off pollutants, weapons systems, Wall Street shenanigans and Walmartization which means sending good US jobs overseas.

Kerry's wife may be rich but he for taxing these lazy exploitative hogs more. Make them pay for Bush's war. Make them pay for Bush's deficits. We know they don't trickle down their benefits anyway, they tinkle on the rest of us.

I was raised in an all-American family where paying taxes was considered a patriotic duty. No more. Under Bushies, borrowing and spending has replaced taxes, taking care of people and balancing budgets.

Anyone who argues any differently is a bald-faced liar.

These days, if you are very rich, and especially of large inherited rich, you are greatly rewarded for your idle good fortune in life by the Bush, who is after all one of you. You have few taxes to pay on your huge estate, your dividends and your income, plus all kinds of great bills are passed by the Bushie congress guaranteeing that the workingclass, not your class, has to pay off the trillions in new borrowing and spending the Bushies are doing. You can even cheat on taxes to your heart's delight and the IRS won't be after you. Government regulation after all is "evil" to the white collar crook Bushie elitists.

Rush Limbaugh himself said that no democrat could be worse on spending than GW Bush. That was a rare moment of frankness by the usual propaganda machine himself.

Very good points.

You write claiming Kerry would "do something" about borrowing and spending, as though he were some gutsy anti-government Libertarian with a chance to be elected, rather than a snivelling Democan Republicrat the likes of which gave us huge government in the first place. That's thoroughly unrealistic.

You go on to mention the rich again, who create the ideas and organize the hard work & the companies that employ America though still paying the vast bulk of taxes despite the lie you started with. In 2003 the top 5% of earners paid 54% of all taxes.
