If geothermal doesn't work there
It won't work anywhere ..

I wonder if this concept could be extended to
the oil and gas industry .. Must have been a lot
of deep dry holes drilled over the years .. Wouldn't
there be useful heat at depth in those boreholes ??

When I heard the Icelandic contingent speak at the last Geothermal Resources Council conference they said they planned to eliminate oil from the country. I asked how they'd power their ships and fishing trawlers and was told hydrogen.

I wonder if they couldn't use rechargeable VRB-ESS electrical storage units in combination with hydrogen to power ships? Would that produce enough power to get a ship very far?

Is shipping large quantities of hydrogen practical?
