Speaking of min wage earlier, Calif is considering increasing the min wage by a $1 to ~ $7.75/hour. Even Arnold supports this.

I think people who want to work for $5 per hour should be allowed to....

Out here, about half the labor force works 9 hour days, 6 days a week for about 1,000 dirhams per month.

$7.75/hour * 54 hours per week * 4 weeks per month * 3.68 dh/$ = 6,160dh per month!

Admittedly, the workers here often get some form of shared accomodation and food with their work, but mandating that Californians get 6x higher salary than other labor markets seems a touch high....

When you're already illegal Amy, the minimum wage doesn't apply to you. Nor does it help the Americans who might take those jobs at the new, higher minimum wage. Raising the minimum wage does nothing to solve the probelms of illegal immigration.
