Do you know if the school produced any analysis of what the costs and tradeoffs were? I remain a skeptic. I appreciate some of the cost factors you mentioned, but they just don't seem large enough to warrant such drastic compensation. While I'd love to see the analysis, I think it would be interesting to know simply if one was prepared. I'd also be interested in knowing whether the school considered ignoring the test results and pursuing business as usual. Part of the reason for my skepticism is that lack of funding is always such an easy scapegoat.
