Thanks Peter....I've found that old adage "If you can't say something nice....etc"....usually works for me. Sometimes, provocation gets in the way of good sense, and the knowledge that one should just ignore the provocation, does as well....Sometimes we just have to consider the source and brush it off if necessary.

Awwwww. That's a lovely post, Peter. Though people may say mean and hateful things on these threads, most would never act that way publicly, in person. People who can't or won't apologize are more to be pitied than scorned. As my mom used to say "consider the source and rise above it." To which my sister added, "and move on."
