Ahah!

The FAA was more concerned that bin Laden might try to hijack a U.S. carrier and take the American passengers as hostages to Afghanistan to deter a U.S. military strike there.

This would be the plot that Cheney and the neocons though was coming in August. This is the plot that they allowed so that it would serve as the "New Pearl Harbor", the catelysing event which would unite America behind their attack on Iraq. It would be easy to blame Saddam once the plane was out of he country.

My first take on Moussaui is that the guy KNOWS he's gonna get the hot shot or life (at best) whatever he says, so he might as well elevate his position in history. Why the hell not? Just tell 'em what they want to hear.

Claiming that goofball Richard Reed was his co-pilot was a brilliant little bit too! He's tied it all together for us..
