Think about it: A huge government bureaucracy, with pensions, salaries, etc., to match, gets a very serious whack. Taxes are reduced substantially, and they are used for consumption or investment. As a result, our incomes go up. Since the costs of government go down, we can devote money to our decaying infrastructure, maybe even build a levee or two down here in the Big Easy. I am going to research the similar Nixon plan which is rattling around in my brain.
