He just never saw a reason to actually think about things. He has bought into the mythology that true leaders have unerring instincts. Thinking about it just clouds the truth. He has lived his life that way. In the past, when he was about to hit the wall and maybe, just maybe have reality pound a little sense into him, Pee and Em pulled strings and saved his ass. He never noticed that, he just figured just staying the course leads to victory...
