IMO the end of the quarter must be one of the most difficult periods of time to try to trade strictly based on technical charts.

I've found that the end of the quarter is a great time to buy a stock that has been "beaten down" (CHS) and it also is a good time to buy something that is owned by many institutions and has done well over the last quarter. (NUAN)

I own both CHS and NUAN as long term buys, so these buys are based on the fundamentals of the companies rather than their chart.
