And vise versa. "When a blind leads a blind...".
Hasn't come that far as yet, but don't we all know that all empires are bound to fall victim of their own success sooner or later?

World History proves that beyond any doubt.

Taro, Intel re-inventing the wheel, kind of funny isn't it?

I hate to say it, but Intel is following the footsteps of Microsoft.

I am not sure that Intel's position is as solid as MSFT's. I know that's not exactly what you meant but I don't see Linux and MacIntosh as that big a threat to MSFT's huge margins. However, there are lots of semi companies that could steal INTC's thunder. And I am not talking AMD.

In recent years, BRCM and MRVL have gotten a lot bigger and they are much more profitable than AMD. In fact, MRVL has margins nearly as good as INTC and a lot of that money is going into research. Meanwhile INTC can't rely on PCs for growth particularly with a resurgent AMD.......so it must find new niches.....and it could well be competing with BRCM or MRVL in those new niches......more so than it does today.

I am not sure what plagues INTC.......but I wouldn't be surprised if there is some concenr among insiders.
