Humala is the son of the old communista from the 80's and a good friend of castro Yes, he is the son of Isaac Humala, an ex-communist lawyer and nationalist from Ayacucho. Ollanta in October 2000 led an uprising in Toquepala against then President Alberto Fujimori. But Castro is not a "communist", he is an egotistic & opportunist tyrant. He doesn't care about "the people", just about himself & he is a staunch enemy of the US. During the "missile crisis" in the 60s he pleaded with Nikita Kruschev as he wanted to launch missiles against the US, but we were lucky that the missiles were under russian control.<g> I know him pretty well, since although he is about 3 yrs. older,we were both living in the same high school & college in Havana for a few years, until he graduated & went to the Univ. of Havana Law School & I went to the Medical School.
