High tech company should be able to absorb most part of the inflation pressure. The buying power from their customers has kept up so far. QQQQ and nasdaq may not be ready to take a dive yet.

The chip industry was almost wiped out by the Japanese, but they came back strong. Steel industry has gone through major shake out during the 80's and 90's as well. Those surviving companies came out strong when the market is ripe. The automobile industry didn't learn the hard lessons yet. They'll have to go through the same cycle.

Speaking of GM, I feel sorry for the American worker, who is in a long term slump with no relief in sight... At least the GM workers have done very well in the past, but the future looks so dark it is pathetic.
