Yes, corn is a big issue.

But since the US/Mex immigration border is now in the process of being moved down to the Mexican south border, all of that doesn't matter.

In general, I agree. However, it seems like one factor in the recent flood is that US farmers, who are subsidized, are selling corn into Mexico and undercutting the Mexican farmers by quite a bit.


If the use of ethanol takes off, that will change. Much more corn will be needed that what is grown currently in both the US AND Mexico.
