you know, i used to have the quaint little notion about personal privacy and a general aversion to national ID (unalterable, at least for NOW), until i came to the conclusion that in a digital age there IS no such thing as personal privacy

i was amazed when i recently did a personal credit check at the amount of info that is out there, down to our most mundane purchases...

and frankly anymore? i don't think i care...other than the amount of nuisance unsolicited directed junk mail i receive (and toss unopened)

am i going to go to all cash transaction for the sake of 'privacy'? i don't think so.....i think only a paranoid idiot would pursue that path...

i'm not a criminal, nor illegal, and have nothing to hide...if it takes a fingerprint or a map of my iris to keep the illegals out, so be it
