Sonus' Impressive Sales Outlook
Maya Roney, 03.30.06, 3:31 PM ET

Sonus Networks

Standard & Poor's Equity Research upgraded shares of Sonus Networks to "buy" from "hold," citing strong bookings growth and an increasing deferred revenue balance.

"We see 2006 as an inflection point for sales growth," wrote analyst Ari Bensinger in research note Thursday.

The analyst said Sonus' 2006 sales growth target of at least 25% was "readily achievable" and called the company "an attractive takeover candidate" given its strong market position in next-generation networking.

Based on an improving operating outlook, Bensinger also raised his 12-month target price on Sonus (nasdaq: SONS - news - people ) to $6.50 from $5.50.
