As noted, global temperature and CO2 levels have tracked each other. The "good news" is that, so far, temperature increases have preceded CO2 increases.

I don't know how any honest scientist would say "there is no linear relationship". That is misleading. There is a relationship. The evidence so far has shown that temperature is independant of CO2 levels but that CO2 levels track temperature change. A perhaps subtle but most important difference. If CO2 levels start to precede temperature (due to rapid increase in human generated CO2 production) then we really are in big trouble imo. It's not good (imho) to temp fate with phrases like "there is no linear relationship" when talking about a greenhouse gas that has shown a 40% increase above maximum historic levels. I come from an engineering background, and Murphy rules the universe with an iron fist. One of the principle rules of Murphy is "If it can go wrong..."

The guys that keep chanting "there is no climate change" on news channels sound out of touch to me.
