Spot oil $67.15. That is almost back to the hurricane related price peaks last year ...

The spot price was this high or higher for only 11 days last year. Based on oil prices, I expect gasoline prices to start climbing soon (even more than the usual seasonal price gains).

Yes, and though I almost never agree with Krugman, he recently wrote an excellent editorial on this issue, and pointed out that the much-vaunted tax influx that illegals provide (to supposedly prop up our entitlements system) is actually less than the gov't benefits they receive.

This is an issue where Dem and GOP politicians are way out of touch with voters (each party having its own reasons).
