Sounds to me like you and I practice the same kind of trading tactics. Buy and hold is good for those who are strong willed but not particularly astute or wise to the ways of the trading/investing/speculative worlds out there. I always wind up at the end of the month with a better record trading the way you seem to trade. So what if I miss a few points in a strong stock. I have already banked it with my covered call sells or my "gimme .50 cents on a thousand shares" which is my $500 for the day. Works well as long as you focus your mind and concentrate your forces.
