I wish it was that way today, Norma....I went to a country school, and when I went to the 2nd grade in a BIG town, they kept me back in 1B until they could figure out if I could cope or not....Race, color, religion had nothing to do with it...It was then, and it should be, if you were able to do the work. I showed them in a few days that I could most certainly do the work! <ggg> They were going to jump me a grade, but my Mom wisely said no..... I think the kids today, would ALL do well to just learn English first...If they can learn it, they will be miles ahead of those who don't in a very short time. Take good care of you! Karen
