Richard, just keep in mind that the article may still be wrong as it's just repeating the Inquirer again, and as I posted Mike Magee stated he's not exactly sure if Chartered will start with 65nm either.

I wouldn't totally discount the 65nm Chartered news. If it turns out that 65nm yields fine at Chartered, why not start Fab 36 65nm with K8L and high performanance Opterons rather than the dumb shrink of Rev F? And produce the Rev F dumb shrink at Chartered, mostly for the lower half of the speed bin range. That would minimize the time to quad core and AMD's answer to Conroe.

In other words, producing some 65nm at Chartered would reduce the risk in trying to accelerate K8L.
