But he seems to have a grip on those even mildly predisposed towards him that they go to inordinate lengths to convince themselves he is a straight shooter. I guess the reality is just too horrible to contemplate. Look at Tim. Here he is, doing the equivalent of arguing about the meaning of the word 'is'...

The clearest lie the chimp Caesar has told lately has been where he PROMISED Americans when lobbying to renew the Patriot Act that he would NEVER wiretap Americans without a warrant - at a time when he was wiretapping Americans without a warrant! He's a very good liar - he'd have made a decent salesman. Any decent salesman can tell you the first step to faking sincerity is convincing themselves they're telling the truth. It doesn't make it not a lie. Meanwhile, Tim twists his logic into merry pretzels to maintain belief..
